Private Estate Wedding on Boston's North Shore

I knew from our initial meeting together that Jared & Willoughby were going to plan an incredible wedding day, beginning with the location for their celebration. Hosted on Willoughby's family farm, Jared & Will thoughtfully planned their wedding to emphasize and celebrate the beautiful location and the natural beauty that encompassed the area, something very important to them. They also wanted to ensure that their guests were given a meaningful and memorable experience. Working with the amazing team at Chive Events they pulled together a breathtaking celebration that focused on sustainable and locally sourced details. From the florals to the the food and even the wine served throughout the day, each detail was thoughtfully and carefully chosen for a specific reason.

That is the kind of people Jared & Willoughby are. A couple who are independent and unique in their own right and together bring a sense of purpose and authenticity to whatever situation they are in. I greatly appreciated the thought and care they placed on their wedding day and how they communicated to their guests what this day meant to them as a couple. It was a day to celebrate and bring together their families and loved ones and honor their respective family heritage.

For example, Willoughby wore a family heirloom, her wedding gown. She was the 12th Bride to wear the beautiful gown that has been passed down through the generations from the 19th century. Jared excitedly and ceremoniously cut the wedding cake with a family sword. Willoughby's parents hosted the event on their farm, a piece of property that has been in the family for generations. How meaningful to have so many pieces of family history!!

Willoughby & Jared, thank you for entrusting us to document this special day -- it was incredible!! Enjoy some of my favorite images!!

Coastal New England Wedding in Summer

Josselyn and Matthew had a perfect summer wedding. Set on the South Shore of Boston their wedding day was one filled with personal touches like the centerpieces made of flowers picked from their backyard to the hand drawn pictures from her students displayed on the dessert table. Friends and family alike helped bring their day together, a day they had dreamed of for a long time.

Josselyn & Matthew, it was a joy to document your wedding day, to witness as you promised forever to each other and to celebrate alongside your loved ones!! Enjoy some of my favorite images!!

The Best of 2016 : Florals & Bouquets

Today kicks of my favorite series of the year, The Best Of!! Each year I share the best of engagements, portraits & weddings through a series of blog posts highlighting the amazing celebrations, couples and families I've had the honor of working with over the past year.

Florals always seem to be an integral part of my work. I love the romance, softness and delicate nature of flowers. It's no secret that I love floral design. I've even had the opportunity to take several floral workshops over this past year (fun = designing your very own floral crown!). I especially love when clients share my love of blooms -- nothing makes my heart pitter patter more than a glorious oversized wedding bouquet ;)!!

To celebrate my love of all things beautiful and flowery, today I will be kicking of the 2016 Best of series with the Best of Florals & Bouquets. I'll be sharing links below of the amazing creatives I've had the opportunity to work with as well, in case you're in search of a talented floral designer!! Now on to all the pretty!!
