I first connected with Andy & Liz when they hired me to photograph their wedding at her family home on Cape Cod in 2018. We first met for their epic engagement session at Falmouth Light that include the most dramatic fog and wind, complimenting the epic cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
Ever since Liz & Andy have continued to invite me into their lives to celebrate the milestone of life, from their maternity session at Crane Beach, to their newborn session in their new home and now to the celebration of their son’s first year. In fact we met back where it all started and captured this session in the same spot where they had said “I Do” two years prior.
On this particular evening we were met with some dramatic atmospheric occurrences (dramatic seems to be the theme ;)) as the smoke and haze from recent California wildfires had drifted across the nation and settled heavily on the East Coast. The sun set and turned the sky a hue of pink and orange, taking us all by surprise. With the backdrop of a pastel sky, we celebrate the first year of their son’s life, in a place that holds so much meaning for them as a family. We even had time to recreate one of my favorite portraits from their wedding day!
Every time a client invites me into their life to capture a milestone to celebrate a new stage of life or eve just because, it means a great deal. To be trusted to capture and document these moments for my couples & families is something that I treasure. Here’s too many more moments to celebrate and document together!
