When I arrived to Phoebe & Kevin’s adorable brownstone in the heart of South Boston, I was immediately greeted by the sweetest of faces, Junebug, their adorable lab. And after a few wet doggy kisses, I knew that this session was off to a great start!! Some of my favorite engagement sessions are when clients invite me into their homes, where they can relax and be in a place where they feel most comfortable. When it involves beautiful rooftop views of Boston and adorable pups like Junebug, well it just takes it over the top!!

We started Phoebe & Kevin’s session in their beautiful home followed by a walk through their neighborhood. Conversations on the front stoop, families at the playground, pups walking with their owners, it hardly felt like you were in the middle of the city. It’s a small oasis in a bustling part of town, a quaint and inviting place — it’s clear why Phoebe & Kevin love it so.

Kevin popped some bubbly, Junebug gave her best for the camera and Kevin & Phoebe snuggled together on the couch as we talked about their wedding, their neighborhood and life leading up to the big day. It’s was the perfect way to get to know this sweet couple better. I’m so grateful for their hospitality and inviting me to photograph their love in a place that means so much to them.
