Both Alex & Tom have deep roots to the island of Nantucket. Tom’s family home is even made from a shipwreck off the coast of the island! Having met on Nantucket, Alex & Tom wanted their engagement session to represent all they love about summer on the island. I was thrilled when they invited me to spend a beautiful weekend exploring the best that Nantucket has to offer. From the colorful hydrangeas, coastal vibe and historic charm, it was such a treat to enjoy! We started their session exploring Wauwinet where Tom’s family home resides. From the inlet harbor to riding beach cruisers through the neighborhood, Alex and Tom felt right at home, as neighborhood residents stopped to congratulate them like local celebrities. After a quick outfit change we headed to mid island, the heart of Nantucket, as Alex had several places she wanted to include in their session. That’s the fun of the island, each section has it’s own unique landscape and personality. While Nantucket may be small, you could spend days just exploring each unique neighborhood. I left our time together heart full to have been invited to such a special place and to witness the deep connection and love Alex and Tom share for Nantucket.
