Fall will always remind me of Ben and Kristen’s autumnal wedding celebration in the heart of Vermont. What was meant to be a crisp, golden-hued day of vibrant foliage transformed into one of the rainiest weddings I’ve experienced in my 15-year career.
As I posed the newlyweds under the protective overhang of a barn, Ben shared something : “We made peace with the weather days ago, and we’re just going to enjoy every minute of our day no matter what.”
It was a sentiment that perfectly captured the spirit of their celebration. Despite the unexpected rain, Ben and Kristen were determined to savor every moment.
Ben and Kristen embraced the season’s rich colors, incorporating hues of burgundy and gray with carefully selected wildflowers throughout the venue. This combination of colors perfectly complemented the rustic and cozy vibe of the day, blending effortlessly with the autumnal landscape.
For dinner, Ben and Kristen treated their guests to a seated meal under a canopy of twinkle lights. The tables were draped in soft, sheer burgundy linens, creating a romantic and intimate atmosphere. The cozy ambiance of the venue created a beautiful contrast to the rainy day outside, offering an almost magical vibe.
Ben and Kristen’s celebration was a testament how a Vermont wedding can capture both the wild charm of the natural world and the cozy intimacy of a fall celebration. Sometimes, the most memorable moments come when you embrace whatever the day brings.
