Nilo and Arya’s Persian Newport wedding was infused with a modern aesthetic, hints of classic details and a touch of whimsy throughout. Growing up visiting Newport, Nilo and Arya invited their guests to experience a weekend away in the coastal New England town. Em Devaud Events perfectly executed their wedding at Belle Mer, infusing the day with meaningful details and tying their whole wedding together in a way that felt entirely personal and exactly them.

Nilo & Arya celebrated their union with a Persian ceremony. Persian ceremonies are steeped in layers of tradition, rich with detail and meaning. Among my favorite ceremony traditions is the honey exchange, a beautiful ritual that symbolizes the couples’ commitment to one another and the shared desire for a life filled with sweetness. Together the couple enjoyed each meaningful tradition, with much delighted group participation from their guests. 

When it came time for the reception, Stone Blossom transformed the Belle Mer ballroom into a chic, modern and flower filled space. Guests enjoyed dinner by candlelight then hit the dance floor for an evening of celebration.
