This Saturday as I frantically packed up all the items for Courtney's shower I knew I couldn't forget my camera. Ya know, my big, honkin' "real"camera. The camera everyone hopes I bring along because at all social gatherings, family or friend. I am the unofficial photographer. Saturday was Courtney's shower. My dear, beautiful, friend who will be getting married this May. My friend Liz and I had spent the last few months planning every detail of the day and I couldn't wait to document all of our hard work.

So after everything was set up and just before the first guests arrived, I got to work. I pulled out my big, honking, "real" camera and began to adjust my settings. Everything looked LOVELY and just standing by the cupcakes made my mouth start to water. But something curious happened as I went to click the shutter. Err. As in ERROR!

My card was corrupted and I wouldn't fire. WHHHAA? And in the hustle and bustle that was Saturday morning I had forgotten to grab a few extra memory cards. The person everyone counted on to document the day wasn't going to be able to and I think the room let out a collective, disappointed sigh.

But wait! Not all was lost, I still had my iPhone. And while the iPhone is no comparison to my big, honking, "real" camera, it would have to do. I worked with what I had and did my best. I was hoping this morning I could share with you some beautiful images from Courtney's shower. But instead a few iPhone pictures it will be.

If something does go wrong, work with what you have. Anything unexpected can happen, you always have to be prepared for it.
