Last August we had the incredible opportunity to travel to the island of Oahu. We spent about a week and half exploring this beautiful island with the first part of our trip spent on the North Shore and the second part spent at Aulani, a Disney Resort. & Spa.
Of course my favorites souvenir from any trip are the images we take a long the way. It was an absolutely joy to relive this trip through our vacation photos and I hope it brings you as much joy as it brings me.
We had really interesting weather throughout the trip, starting with the remnants of Hurricane Lane which left a blanket of cloud and fog over the island for the first few days. Towards the end of our trip that began to clear up and we were greeted with bright blue skies for the remainder of the week.
Hawaii is very special to us and one of our favorite places in the entire world. I’m thrilled to relive our trip with you and share more of this incredible place!! Below I’ll try to link to some of the amazing things we did and saw along the way.
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa (we enjoyed the spa, character breakfast, staying at the resort, the lazy river, snorkeling, an outrigger sailing excursion and so much more!!)
Kualoa Ranch (we did their Ocean Voyage tour in the morning and their movie tour in the afternoon)
Ted’s Bakery for delicious Haupia pie and stunning views at Sunset Beach
Laniakea Beach where you can get up close with real wild sea turtle who like to sun on the rocky shore
Dole Pineapple Planation - while we arrived too late to partake in any of their family friend activities like the pineapple train, we did thoroughly enjoy some Dole Whip!!
We enjoyed an amazing meal at Duke's Waikiki which offered delicious food, superb service and atmosphere and sweeping views of the bustling beach
We spent a day at Pearl Harbor and explored their expansive aviation museum
