What A Difference A Year Makes!

This past weekend marked the year anniversary since we closed on our house and moved in! It's hard to believe how fast time goes by. So much happened this past year, but yet it seems like yesterday that we were closing on our home. And it's truly become our home. I look forward to coming home everyday to my hubby and our cat. Sitting out on our deck for dinner at night, gardening, running around our neighborhood. We can say with assurance that buying this house has been one of the best decisions we have made as a married couple:) When we first moved into the house, the previous owners has spent a lot of time fixing it up inside, but left MUCH to be desired in the front garden and the yard out back. I have never had a green thumb and had NO desire to acquire one. But my mother-in-law, who loves to garden, was immediately on the job. Bringing down plants from her garden in New Hampshire, we quickly replaced the weeds that filled the garden out front. From then on, I absolutely loved working in the garden.

At times, like this past week, I find myself torn between working, running and gardening. Gardening usually wins. Who knew, that this non domestic goddess would ever find joy in the garden? Thanks to my mother-in-law, I have.

So here's a little slide show of before and after. What a difference a year makes!
