This weekend, Dave and I are up in Boothbay, ME to shoot the wedding of two of my favorite clients, Andrea and Cory. There wedding is tomorrow, so we decided to come up early to enjoy Maine. It's been wonderful, minus the horrific traffic getting here. Everywhere you are surrounded by water and beauty. It really is unreal. As we were walking down in Boothbay Harbor tonight, ice cream cone in hand, I welled up with thankfulness and joy. I turned to Dave and told him how blessed I felt to have time to spend together, to have a job that allows me to travel, and that have the opportunity to share those experience with him. Even though it's just for one weekend, this gift of relaxation is just what we needed.
As we drove home back to the Hodgdon Inn where we are staying, we stopped to enjoy the beautiful sunset over the water. The water, the docks (where we will be shooting tomorrow YESSSS), the orange sky, it's perfection.
