The first time I introduced you to Kate and Jeff was for their engagement session in Boston’s Fort Point neighborhood. I wrote, “Kate and Jeff spend much of their free time down by the water. Whether it’s going for a morning run on the river or sipping cocktails by the harbor, Boston’s waterfront has become an intergeral part of their relationship.” Fittingly this past weekend the Boston couple was married on the city’s waterfront at the New England Aquarium!! Guests sipped cocktails admist penquins and fishies with a reception overlooking Boston Harbor. For Kate and Jeff, who met, live and work in the city, celebrating their nuptials in Boston was the perfect choice.
It was hoooooot & humid, a typical New England summer day!! But despite the opressive heat, Kate & Jeff took the day in stride, enjoying each and every moment they shared together and with those that they love. If I could choose one word for their day, it would be friendship. It was clear that Kate and Jeff are dearly loved by their friends, who stood by their side with smiles throughout the day, full of support and admiration for the couple.
Kate and Jeff, thank you for inviting us into such a special day!! I hope these images transport you back to each moment you shared together!! Enjoy!!
The day started at the stunning InterContinental Hotel in downtown Boston.
Bubbly is a requirement on the wedding day!
Kate wore a light and airy tulle gown from Maggie Sottero. She included family jewelry into her bouquet for a personal and meaningful touch.
Who doesn’t love a sparkly pair of Jimmy Choos?
Kate wore a stunning family heirloom, a something borrowed & something blue.
After gathering together final touches, it was time to get into the dress!
Kate’s mother and two sisters helped to lace up the beautiful corseted back of her Maggie Sottero gown.
Kate was calm and confident as she prepared to meet her Groom, laughing together with your Mom and sister was the perfect way to start the day.
This is the second wedding I have had the honor of documenting for Kate’s family, it is a joy to share in these important moments, like this moment with Kate and her Dad.
Kate carried a white bouquest of calla lilies and roses.
Simply stunning!!
While Kate prepared for the day with her Bridesmaids, Jeff spent a relaxing morning hanging out with his Groomsmen. Lauren captured Jeff as he prepared for the First Look.
What a great group of guys!!
Kate & Jeff chose to have a First Look and this quite spot in the middle of downtown Boston was the perfect place to share a moment together before the bustle of the day began.
Those smiles!!
Would you have guessed that we were in the middle of downtown Boston?! For Jeff & Kate, it was a moment just for them.
Kate & Jeff made for a stunning pair!!
Kate and Jeff were surrounded by a wonderful group of friends and loved ones who gave them tremendous love and support on the wedding day.
Friendship like this is incredibly special, a joy to photograph!!
That ringbearer, those CHEEKS!
Following portraits on the Rose Kennedy Greenway it was off to Boston College for a ceremony at St. Ignatius Church.
Married!!
Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails admist the fish and penguins at the New England Aquarium.
While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Kate & Jeff snuck outside for a moment alone together by the waterfront.
A typical summer evening, thunder boomed across Boston Harbor.
Kate and Jeff were introduced to cheers and applause!!
Kate has a very strong bond with her sisters, which provided for lots of material for their toasts!!
Not to worry, Jeff was treated to his own toast, er, roast by his Best Man.
Later into the evening Kate shared a sweet dance her Dad who twirled her across the dance floor.
Following the formalities, it was time to get the party started!!
