This wedding season was probably one of the most rainiest I have ever photographed. Every weekend it seemed the forecast called for rain. When YQ & John’s wedding day approached, the last wedding of my season, I had fingers crossed that we wouldn’t see a drop of rain. And guess what happened? IT RAINED!! Thankfully the weather gave us just enough breaks throughout the day to capture some of their images outside, including an epic First Look on the rooftop of the Mandarin Oriental hotel. Take note of how blustery it was. Their poor wedding party was such troopers, braving the cold, windy day to take advantage of the foliage in the Boston Public Gardens.
YQ & John’s wedding day was very intentional. They took careful thought into how they planned out their celebration, surrounding themselves with their closest and dearest loved ones, many of whom flew in from all over the world to help the couple celebrate. It was so lovely to learn more about YQ & John and to meet the many people who were and continue to be integral parts of their lives.
So while it may have rained it certainly did not damper anything about this special day. If you scroll down there is an image of YQ & John, umbrellas in hand, with huge smiles on their faces. It is pure joy. And that is exactly how I will remember this day!! Enjoy some of my faves!!
