On an early summer morning, just after sunrise, I met Michelle & Wes at the Boston Public Garden for their engagement session. Greeted with a nearly empty park, we casually meandered the beautiful and historic grounds and soaked in a nearly perfect summer morning.
Covid threw many unexpected curve balls in 2020 including interrupting and delaying many wedding plans. Early last spring, Wes & Michelle found themselves in an interesting situation – they had the opportunity to tie the knot in a small and intimate ceremony while postponing the big party to 2021. So their planned “engagement” session then became less about an engagement and more about a celebration of their recent nuptials!
Michelle & West are still going forward with their big party later this spring, and I for one am pumped to celebrate with them! I’ll always think fondly to their session and the unique set of circumstances that led them to this moment. 2020 you sure were a ride but even still, there was still pause of celebration and for that I am so thankful.
