Kara & Chris radiated joy on their wedding day, a true testament to what a wedding day is all about : love. Not flowers and dresses and centerpieces (though those are important!) What matters most is the love, connection, friendship, commitment, that a couple shares together and symbolizes through their wedding.
While the day started off clear and bright, it poured buckets of rain right before their ceremony. That couldn’t dampen their spirits though…nothing was going to snuff out their joy to be marrying the one they loved!! Kara & Chris treated their guests to a beautiful celebration at the magnificent Wequassett Resort & Golf Club, over looking Pleasant Bay on Cape Cod. As the weather rolled in, the team at Wequassett ensured that everything flowed smoothly, allowing Kara & Chris to relax and enjoy the important moments together!! The day made me so nostalgic for our own wedding day when it rained buckets too — a good luck charm for years of joy together!! Rain is not always a photographer’s friend, but watching Kara & Chris handle the unexpected with grace and pure joy, well it was inspiring.
Kara & Chris, thank you for your warm hearts, welcoming hugs and friendship. Our hearts burst with happiness to be there to document the day you became Mr. & Mrs. What a joy!! Enjoy your images!!
Kara wore a beautiful form fitting Marisa gown beautiful lace detailing.
Everything echoed the ocean front venue, I especially loved the small Cape Cod detailing on their invitations from Pink Polka Dot.
Y’all know I love me some pink flowers!!
How sweet are these ladies wearing beautiful Pretty Plum Sugar robes.
Kara and her Bridesmaids carried bouquets of creams and pink from Flowers by Fancy — yes please!!
After final touches with hair and makeup, it was time to get into the dress!!
Kara, you are stunning!!
A favorite from the day…I love the moment a Bride gets into her dress, its a beautiful moment!!
Chris eagerly awaited his Bride to Be for their First Look, it was such a sweet moment!!
I love this moment captured by Lauren, the sweetest!!
Chris, what a handsome Groom!!
After enjoying their First Look, we expolored the glorious grounds for portraits amongst the flowers.
Oh hello GORGEOUS!!
The couple was soon joined by the Bridal Party — are you seeing all this pink?!
A beautiful group of ladies!!
The guys cleaned up pretty good too 😉
With on last kiss, it was off to start the ceremony.
By now the skies had opened up, but nothing could keep that smile from Chris’ face!!
Married!!
Lauren captured the fog rolling in during cocktail hour, the weather was so intense!!
It may have been raining outside, but inside it sparkled.
For Christmas Chris’ Mom gave all the kids these amazing wooden carvings of the Cape and I absolutely love how the couple used it as a guest book!! A memento from their wedding that doubles as art!!
Such a sweet First Dance, Chris sang to his Bride and twirled her all about, love that!
Following, Chris & Kara were treated to some amazing toasts filled with laughter, tears and lots of love.
It was around this time that the skies cleared JUST enough to let in some beautiful golden light!! Kara & Chris snuck out to soak in all they had experienced that day…
When we returned it was time for more dancing!!
Chris’ birthday was the following day, so Kara surprised him with a song dedicated to him. Chris took full advantage and got the party started!!
As the sun set over the bay the clouds eased and the fog rolled back in, it was truly beautiful to watch!
