Laney & Austin love being near the water, it’s their happy place. When it came to planning their engagement session we knew that it had to be a location on the water. One of my favorite places, both personally and as a photographer, is Crane Beach in Ipswich - a beautiful beach made of soft white sand and gorgeous green dunes. The stunning locale spoke to their ocean loving hearts and was the perfect backdrop of their summer engagement. Enjoy some of my favorites!!Read More
Emily & Ricky’s wedding day started with white, puffy clouds but by the time we arrived to their First Look things started to change. The sky turned a dark grey/blue and lightning cracked across the sky off in the distance. In between rain drops and claps of thunder Emily & Ricky braved the elements with smiles and laughter — enjoying every minute they spent together with their wedding party. By the time portraits were over, the skies opened up and a deluge of rain really began…
But despite the weather they were determined to embrace the day. For example, Emily really had wanted pictures down by the water front but the rain continued to pour down. Instead of giving up, Emily gladly picked up her dress, grabbed an umbrella and sipped on their signature cocktail waterside for portraits. Their guests enjoyed cocktail hour under the tent and then when the rain finally let up, they headed out onto the patio for one of the most incredible sunsets we have ever seen at a wedding. Truly, it’s not what happens on your wedding day - but the attitude you have that matters most.
It was a joy to celebrate alongside Emily & Ricky and I am thrilled to be sharing my favorite images from their incredible day — truly it was a honor to be a part of their celebration!!Read More
It's hard to believe that another season is winding down to an end. Jessica and Sean were one of my last engagement sessions of the year and I could't have asked for a better couple to spend it with!! This sweet couple will be tying the knot next fall and they really wanted their engagement session to reflect this colorful time of year. And while the foliage wasn't the most spectacular, we managed to find a few pockets of brightly colored leaves!! Jessica & Sean chose Jamaica Pond where they spend much of their time together and where they have created many memories. I hope we were able to add another reason for them to love this part of the city!! Enjoy some of my fave images!!

It's hard to believe that Jennifer & Nate's wedding has come and gone!! It feels like just yesterday we wandering the harbor walk together for their engagement session and now I'm blogging their wedding!! These two love to have fun and their wedding day reflected their zest for life. Carefree, stylish and FUN would be the words I'd sue to describe their day. Oh and throw in a penguin or two ;) Jennifer and Nate chose the Boston Aquarium to host their day, a unique and entertaining experience for their guests who mingled amongst the fish and penguins during cocktail hour. They were given a beautiful fall day, the perfect weather!! It was a magical day for sure!! Enjoy some of my favorites from their wedding day!!Read More
Michelle & Steve welcomed the day with near perfect weather. While it seems like such a cliche thing to mention, when you live in New England and the weather can turn on a dime, you are ever so thankful when you are greeted with such a beautiful day as this the morning of a wedding. Greeted at the water with a warm breeze, Misselwood Estate provided the perfect location for Michelle & Steve's guests to enjoy this glorious New England fall day. The lawn at Misselwood provided guests with sweeping views of the harbor side as tiny sailboats dotted the horizon. The sun slowly set leaving behind a golden glow that set the feeling for cocktail hour. Paired with all the rose gold details a girl could dream of, this photographer was in heaven!!Read More
I first met Jared & Willoughby at Willoughby's family home, a sprawling working farm on Boston's North Shore. They will be getting married at this beautiful place later this summer and it was important to them for me to experience it for myself. I absolutely love how personal this place is to the couple, especially Willoughby, and how they are thoughtfully planning their wedding day to reflect their personal connection to the farm along with its beautiful natural backdrop.
When it came time for their engagement session it made sense to explore the farm. We meandered through the tall tree groves and winding stone wall lined drives on a glorious summer evening. Just spending a few minutes here its easy to understand why Willoughby and Jared feel such a connection to this place.
Jared and Willoughby thank you for inviting me to this place, a place that means so much to you. I can't wait for August!! Enjoy some of my favorites from their session!!Read More

At the beginning of January a friend and fellow photographer, Shannon, posted about her clients needing to cancel their wedding. They had just found out that Erick, the groom, was very sick and they couldn't afford both a wedding and his aggressive treatments. Upon hearing the news, Shannon desperately wanted to do something to help. So she enlisted the help of Facebook and reached out to vendor friends seeing if they could possibly donate their time, services or art to help make Erick and Jennifer's dream wedding, not a cancelation, but a reality.
What happened next was simply unbelievable. What Shannon coined as "Let's Give Them A Wedding" went viral and wedding industry peers from New England, across the country and even across the globe began pouring in offering to donate their services. They, like Shannon, were deeply moved by Erick and Jennifer's story and wanted to do whatever they could to help. It was simply amazing to watch what started out as a simple "plea" on Facebook, in a matter of days turn into something so much bigger.
Before Shannon had a date nailed down I offered to assist and second shoot if she needed anyone. Knowing that she had hundreds of other photographers offering the same thing, I waited for Shannon to make her choice for the team that would be best suited to her style and for Erick and Jennifer's needs. I was absolutely floored and honored when Shannon contacted me to see if I was available. I was overwhelmed to be a part of something so special and I immediately jumped on board. Along with the talented Steph Stevens we rounded out the photography team. There was also an amazing team of videographers, Jeff Brouillet Films, capturing the day as well. Check out the incredible day of video here.
If you'd like to read more about Erick and Jennifer's story you can click here. And if you'd like to see Shannon's take of the day, make sure to head on over to her blog to see her beautiful images. For the most part, I'd like the images to do the talking so I'll leave you with Jennifer and Erick's lovely day at the incredible and graciousWillowdale Estate. If you'd like to see the list of amazing vendors from the day, make sure to scroll to the bottom of the post.

Sometimes it feels as if Jackie and Damian have been together forever. Their love story started almost ten years ago during their freshman year of Harvard. Their love has continued through jobs, travel, moves and PhD degrees at Yale. Or so that's what we thought! As Jackie's Dad toasted the couple on their wedding day he revealed an unknown story to their guests! Who knew that Jackie and Damian might have met years before, before they were even born! Jackie's mom and Damian's mom both had the same doctor, who delivered Jackie and Damian just days apart! Some love, well some love is just meant to be!
Having grown up in the TriTown on the North Shore, it was very fitting for Jackie to choose the Willowdale Estate in Topsfield. The couple pulled together an amazing event with understated rustic elegance. Willowdale was the perfect fit for the couple.
Jackie and Damian, I couldn't be happier for you two!! I can't wait to see where you're next adventure takes you as husband and wife -thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of such a special day, enjoy!!
