A Pursuit 31 Workshop
Several weeks (or was it months?) ago my good friend Alicia along with her very good friend Tiffany invited woman from around the region to gather at Alicia's home in Connecticut for a weekend of learning, shooting and having fun! So this past weekend, my very preggo self traveled the two hours down to meet with these lovely ladies, get inspired and Kickstart 2013. We started the morning with sharing and I even had the opportunity to speak on organization. Hello geek out! I love organization and could probably talk about it for hours upon hours. So I appreciate everyone who listened to me as I nerd-ed out for a hot minute! And for all of those who could follow me through all the huffing and puffing. Pregnant bellies are no joke!;)
The best part of the whole weekend was that it was all FREE! There were no egos involved here, just a chance for us all to learn and grow together! It was amazingly refreshing for me as a business owner and photographer to be surrounded by like minded women who want to honor God in their businesses, relationships and life. And I was incredibly inspired by everyone who shared and who I met. It only made me convinced that there needs to be MORE weekends like this. What a great opportunity to grow your business and grow as a person as well.
And while I unfortunately had to duck out early (I told you preggo bellies are no joke:)) I'm so glad I made the trip down! Thank you to all the ladies who shared, to Pursuit 31 and especially to Alicia and Tiffany who worked their butts off to pull together such a great weekend!

Beyond just learning every photographer was given the chance to be practice their skills behind and in front of the camera! Pairing off into groups we all took turns grabbing head shots of one another for a few hours in the afternoon. When Alicia mentioned that we'd be shooting in Hartford's City Hall I might have snickered a little. But seriously, what a beautiful building it was!After bouncing from group to group and shooting some behind the scenes action I had the joy of grabbing these images of some amazing ladies!How adorable is Joni of Sweet Zinnias Photography?!Equally as adorable is Shara of Shara Lynn Photography!Annddd this preggo lady got some time in front of the camera too for some long overdue headshots!
