A Boston Waterfront Wedding
I'm back! It's been about two weeks since I've written on the blog and I'm so excited to start things back off right with a beautiful Boston waterfront wedding! Rachel and Rob celebrated the holiday weekend with family and friends at the Boston Exchange Conference Center following a beautiful ceremony at St. Brigid's in South Boston.
It was a home town affair for these two who met, fell in love and live in Boston. It was important to the couple to make sure that Boston was a large part of their day from the location to the ceremony down to their adorable invitations. Each detail a reflection of their personalities and relationship.
What a joy it is to document such special days for happy couples in love. I simply adored being a part of Rachel and Rob's wedding (and witnessing Rob's infamous dance moves that won over Rachel's heart;)). Thank you Rachel and Rob, you are the reason why I love what I do. And while I know this post is weeks late, trust me it's worth it! Enjoy!!
We started the day at the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel where Rachel and Rob got ready. I loved the sweet and personalized Paloma's Nest that held their rings. Rob and Rachel had the most adorable wedding invitations!Wedding invitations that told the story of how they fell in love!Purple was our wedding color too, so of course I was swooning over the colorful details!I simply adored Rachel's delicate Watters dress.I was so excited to have the amazingly talented Alicia Candelora with me! Nothing like working with your friends!Rob made a handsome Groom!Time to get in the dress!Rachel, you took my breath away!Flowers and Finery did an amazing job with the florals for the day!As you all know, I love, love, LOVE when a couple chooses to have a First Look. And Rob and Rachel's did not disappoint!Rob checking out his Bride! These tender moments are why I cannot get enough of First Looks. Rob and Rachel exchanged wedding cards, a perfect interlude to the morning. We wandered the area around the Boston Exchange Center and the Renissance Hotel to find all sorts of areas for portraits!Of course we had to include the fishing boats! It was truly a beautiful day in the city!Back at the Exchange center we took some time for portraits.Time to get married! Rob and Rachel chose their home church in South Boston, St. Brigid's for their ceremony.Married! Then it was back to the Exchange Center for more pictures and the reception! We took a few more pictures just before it started to rain.Certainly this is my FAVORITE from their day!East Meets West Catering kept the appetizers coming and guests happy! The Exchange Center is such a unique space with sweeping views of Boston Harbor.A romantic First Dance under the lights. The toasts were full of laughter!I loved Rob's expression as she watched Rachel's Father spin her around the dance floor. And Rob had an equally adorable dance with his mom!I posted this image on my Facebook page earlier this week, and I just love it. Love knows no age limit!Party time! DJ Mike Love kept the dance floor going all night long! The infamous fist pump that allegedly won the Bride over;).A kiss to end a beautiful wedding.
