Tales of an Olympics Addict
Ever since I was a kid I've loved watching sports, Olympic sports in particular. The pomp and circumstance of the opening ceremonies, the pride in one's country, the unbelievable strength of the athletes, it has always amazed me. Deep, down inside it made me feel like maybe, just maybe, I could do anything. Once again this year we were glued to our tv as we watched the opening ceremonies. And once again I loved every minute of it. The next two weeks will be entirely filled with much to much Bob Costas, track and field, and Ryan Lochte.
The Olympics are like an inspirational cornucopia. From the dramatic back story packages about athletes to the intense performances in each sport, you can't help but stand up and cheer! And already my inspirational tank has been filled. By a Nike commercial. Who would have thought that a commercial about regular, ordinary people would make me stand up and cheer? A commercial that would me make me feel like maybe, just maybe, I could do anything.
So this morning I hope to encourage you kick the Monday Muunndays to the curb and take the day by storm. Find your greatness in the big or small and go for it with all you've got!!
